In the 1970s Mark ‘Ali' Edmunds started a crew called ‘the soul artists of zoo York' They were known for their spray paint in the subway and Bombing hills on their skateboard.

In 1993 a new generation of kids in New York City were overwhelmed about the California skateboard industry.

Because of the increase popularity in skateboarding the original Zoo York crew disrupt skateboarding and decided to present New York city with their skateboard brand ‘Zoo York'
