There's a ton to unpack with the Mk4 slaloms, but at the core of the design changes was the desire to make something more race-oriented with a rear truck that grips hard and effortlessly snaps the board back after a slide. I think we nailed it. The team has been putting in work on the prototypes with a number of podium finishes in 2024, including 1st and 2nd in the KnK No Paws Down race (Jan Cuatrecasas & Ambroise Trauet) and the overall WDSC 2nd place by Andreas Bouclier. The rear truck features the first inverted pivot design which places the main pivot slightly behind the axles for suppier grip without any metal-on-metal contact. With an open bushing seat, the rear of the truck is centered with a Riptide Kore urethane insert for low maintenance and suppier durability. However, we know skaters want options and so this rear truck can also accept a spherical bearing between the bushings for a snappier response (bushings need to have reliefs drilled into them for the spherical - we made it easy and are offering them with the spherical being add-on). Rear base angles differ quite a bit between riders, so we designed our truck to work seemlessly with our own 95a rubber riser and wedge kit (included. The 20° base can be setup at 15°, 20° or 25° using either the riser or wedge, and all three options have the same ride height that matches our front truck! Lastly, we all know hammering out kingpins sucks. So, we make it super easy to do by adding two M6 screws that clamp the kingpin in place and make it easy to remove. Long kingpin is installed stock, allowing you to run a tall bushing roadside with a short nut. Specs: 49/20 bases with flat and angled risers for the rear 7075-T6 Aluminum hangers 17-4 Heat treated stainless steel axles for superior strength and corrosion resistance 303 Stainless axle spacers that wont crush and offer better corrosion resistance than steel. 6061-T6 bases with NAS kingpin rear and our machined 17-4 stainless, removable kingpin in the front 303 Stainless cupped washers UHMW PE Upper pivot tube + Riptide WFB pivots elsewhere Riptide KORE 93a WFB urethane insert Wheelbite blocker for front truck 5° wedge & flat riser for easy -5, 0, +5° adjustment with constant ride height Extra arm hardware (just in case)
